A locating device (1) has an air lock tube (1.1) and a steel or shape memory Nitinol needle (1.2) or trocar. A circular curvature is defined at the frontmost area of the needle to aid feed out of the needle from the tube and possesses superelastic properties at predetermined temperatures. An independent claim is also included for a method of locating bio compatible fabric structures in human or animal bodies.
