The detector assembly (2) has first (4) and second (6) light detector arrays. Incoming light or IR (14) passes through a series of lenses (8) and is brought to a focus on a flat plane (16). A deflector (18) consists of an array of positive lenslets just in front of the focal plane and an array of negative lenslets just behind the focal plane. The arrays of lenslets are moved with respect to each other to deflect the light first into the first and then into the second light detector array. Each light detector array has its own set of lenses (10,12).
