A sidecar (2) is joined to the frame of a bicycle (1) with the use of a coupling device (3). The coupling device includes two fasteners (4,5) joined by a connector (6). The coupling device also includes a turning compensating portion which twists one of the fasteners relative to the other to permit turning horizontal and transverse to the travel direction of the extending axles (8,9). The fasteners are respectively mounted on the bicycle and sidecar. A steering wheel portion (7) is rotatably articulated and connected to the connecting sections of the connector. The travel direction is parallel to the extending axles of the bicycle and sidecar.
