Liquid mixing tank or dissolver, for e.g. mixing dialysis concentrate, includes jet agitation system for recirculated fluids and solids

The equipment (10) mixes fluids (12) in a tank (14) using a recirculation system (34, 40, 42, 44, 54). This takes fluid from the tank and returns it via a closed-circuit, using a centrifugal pump (54). An extraction opening (30) is located at the lowest point in the tank. Fluid nozzles (or other directional units) inject the fluid back into the tank in various directions, e.g. horizontally and tangential to its circular wall, or in a vertical direction, parallel to the wall. Flow baffles are included in the vessel. Additional fluid inlet and outlet connections are provided (36, 38). Solids, e.g. granular material, powder and/or dust may be fed into the recirculation system. Several jets (46, 48, 50) re-introduce recirculated fluid into the tank. An independent claim is included for corresponding equipment.
