For the working of optical surfaces with a water content, using an UV laser, it is flushed by air saturated with water and immediately extracted by suction. The air delivery is from a ring, with the optical material surface in its center, with a suction ring over it to extract the blown air. The geometry of the air inflow and outflow is structured to give a timed and stable rotary eddy to give a constant transmission of the laser light and maintenance of the optical material water content.
