The intermediate ceiling (1) includes controllable closing components (17) for plugging or opening the intermediate ceiling to release air or flue gases (25) from inside a road tunnel. The closing components can be controlled individually or in groups, and actuated electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically. An independent claim is also included for the tunnel in which the intermediate ceiling.
