The method involves simulating a mathematic model of image characteristics of an X-ray image intensifier. The model is simulated based on the orientation and amplitude of a magnetic field in the image intensifier and device-specific parameters, so that information is provided for equalization of X-rays. The magnetic field in the area of the X-ray image intensifier is measured by a sensor.
