The appliance to produce an edible hollow body, to be filled with a variety of foods, has a concave mold section (4) within a sealed housing (2) which is filled with a given quantity of dough (6) through its upper wide opening (7). A second convex mold (9) is moved into the concave mold to displace the dough into the space between them, with water and surplus dough forced out through a lower opening (5). A heater (11) is around the lower mold, and a heater (12) is within the upper mold, to bake the dough between them.
