The safety installation (2) has an airbag (3) which in its inactive base state is folded in base position to an airbag fastening area (1) and which when the safety device is activated unfolds into its functional position in an airbag inflation area. An airbag guide ramp (4) is fixed onto this area by which means the airbag can be led around the adjacent part (12) during the inflation process. When the airbag is activated, the airbag guide ramp comes out of the airbag inflation area with the adjacent part to which it is coupled. In a crash the airbag guide ramp deforms by energy absorption.
