The damping unit has a hydraulic cylinder with a movable piston such that the check valve is arranged in the piston or in the channel. A hydraulic unit e.g. a hydraulic pump, is arranged in the channel controllably lifts and locks the lid by using a control and regulation device (20). The device is designed as an integral component of the lid.
