The passive IQ mixer or quadrature modulator (IQ,IQM) contains a local oscillator (LO 1) and a 90 degree delay line (VZ). Real inline signal components (I) are input to an inline channel (IK), and imaginary quadrature signal components (Q) are input to a quadrature channel (QK). Mixer circuits are connected to the inputs and have a common summation point output (SPT). This output is passed to a transfer switch (TS) connected to a multistage amplifier (LNA,PA). The output is connected to an antenna (AN).
