The hot biogas (Brenngas) enters the filtering and cooling system at a temperature of 700-1200 degrees C. It is cooled to 250 degrees C in a first heat exchanger (Warmetauscher). It then passes through a second heat exchanger (Rohren-warmetauscher) in which the tar condenses and runs off into a container (Teer-sammelbehalter). The gas leaves the tar condensing heat exchanger at 100 degrees C and passes into a cooled woven or knitted metal cloth filter (gekuhlter Metallgestrickfilter). The gas leaves the filter at 45 degrees C, and condensate is run off into containers (Kondensatsammelbehalter).
