The vehicle has a front hood fastened to a chassis of the vehicle, where the front hood can be brought by an actuator (12) into an exposed position. A safety unit (32) with a hauling cable is arranged between the chassis and the front hood in such a manner that the front hood is held back in its exposed position before a windshield of the vehicle against a main driving direction of the vehicle.
