The device has a barrel for receiving molded part, and a blasting device (18) for subjecting the molded part with a blast abrasive. A separator includes two horizontally arranged rotatable abrasive and fine filters (12, 13) for separating the blasting abrasive from the burr removed from the molded part. Screw conveyors transport the blasting abrasive and the burr into the filter. The blades and the conveyors are driven by a motor. An independent claim is also included for a method for removing burrs from the molded parts.
