Closure system for care of rectal or anal incontinence comprises a shaft with attached intrarectal balloon and an anchoring element. - Closure system (A) for care of rectal and anal incontinence comprises (i) a hollow shaft (1); (ii) near the distal end of (1), and firmly attached to it, an expanded intrarectal balloon (5), made of flexible, extensible plastic that (a) communicates with the lumen of (1) through a perforation in the wall of (1) and (b) can be stressed with a filling medium, delivered through the lumen, and (iii) an anchoring device, attached to (1) at a position nearer the proximal end than (5), that serves as a storage space.
