The unit has a housing with two working chambers (5, 7), and a piston separating the chambers from each other by a gasket (10). The chamber (5) has a compressible pressure fluid, and the chamber (7) is supplied with a fluid. The chamber (5) has a compression spring (18) for prestressing the piston against the chamber (7). The piston has a blind hole (20) at a side facing the chamber (5) for admission of another compression spring (17).
