The plant includes a horizontal mixer (4) with two adjacent screws (5, 6). Its filling hopper (7) has a drop floor (8), feeding a conveyor or screw feeder (9). The cereal falls down a drop shaft (10) to a comminution machine (11). In an alternative arrangement, a pneumatic conveying blower (3) transfers the material through a line (32) to comminution (11). The combination of a cross screw conveyor (14) and long elevator screw conveyor (20), can be swung to the front or rear (23) to charge the mixer, or to carry the feed away, when the mixer is emptied. Depending on the direction of rotation of the conveyor or dosing screw (9), material in the filling hopper is fed either via the shaft (10) to the comminuter (11), or via a connecting opening (12) into the mixing vessel (4). A transverse conveyor screw (15) is located behind the mixing vessel and under the comminuter. The outlet (17) of the comminuter, and outlet openings of the mixing vessel, discharge into a feed trough via the transverse screw. A cover (18) is opened to introduce additives, lifting them only through a small height. The transverse screw is connected to the long elevator screw (20) via an angled connecting section (19). The pneumatic conveyor is carried on the chassis. A cyclone (33) is mounted over the comminuter to clean the airflow.
