The support device for rollers (41) of a toroidal transmission in which the rollers are supported in retaining clamps (42) mounted in yokes. Each yoke (10) is movable and pivotable in relation to its support component, and the displacement of the yoke in relation to the housing in which they are mounted or in relation to the support component is limited to a maximum displacement movement. At least one limit is formed by a support element (43) which is formed convexly on the yoke in a contact region (46) and movable in the direction of the Z-Z axis in relation to the housing, but not rotatable around it. An independent claim is included for a toroidal transmission with the proposed support device.
