The switching center comprises an input unit (CP) and output unit connected by synchronous time division multiplex switching network having predetermined time slot length. The input unit adds the information enabling to route data subpackets through switching network, to input data stream. The output unit receives data from switching network and reprocesses it according to format of received data stream. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) switching task executing method; (2) input unit; (3) output unit; and (4) connection unit.
