Intermediate joint fastens together side bars (9) has U-shaped hinged seat (5) with two side plates (51) and bridge (52) connecting them together, at both ends of which a side bar is pivotably situated. Each side bar has a locking piece (86) to hold the pressure plate (6) in its pressed down position when folded up, to which is fastened a locking plate (8) which through a gap in the hinged seat protrudes inside. Both the lock pawls(7) are in flat contact with the side bars and have a safety device to avoid possible catching between the pressure plate and each of the side bars.
