Electric machine at the camshaft of an IC motor, driven by a belt/chain from the camshaft, has a rotor of two rings keyed to the camshaft flanked by stator coils at a holder at the outer ring
The electric machine at the camshaft (1) of an internal combustion motor is driven by a belt or chain from the crankshaft, for a controlled reduction of rotating irregularities. The rotor, keyed to the camshaft, is composed of an inner (3) and an outer (2) ring. The fixed stator has coils flanking the outer ring, in a holder (6), as a motor or a generator. On a slow rotation, the rotor gives a driving torque and a braking torque on a fast rotation.
