The motor has a linear motor (3) provided as a motor drive for a window pane in a motor vehicle door. The drive has a rotor (31) connected to the pane and a stator (32) with permanent magnets having different polarization. The rotor is connected to the door and has windings whose magnetic field interacts with the fields of the stator. Guiding rollers are provided at the rotor to enable frictionless sliding of the rotor and stator.
