The method involves administering a data base in input devices of an Internet protocol (IP) telephone provider. IP address of a caller and geo-information of the caller`s residence are input in the database. The geo-information is provided by a geo-information module (6), after the login of the caller, where the module is assigned to a session initiation protocol telephone (1) or a proxy server of a local network.
