The method involves providing forming tools (2, 3), which exhibit an internal contour that is larger than the outer contour of a component blank (1). The internal contour fits the outer contour of components produced from the blank. The blank is formed corresponding to the internal contour by production of a magnetic field in an interior of the blank and a current in the blank. The components are taken out from the tools. An induction mechanism is inserted into the blank, which is inserted into the tools.
