A method for the production of printed objects (I) with a former (A) involves digital printing on a carrier (B) which can be combined with or consists of a deep-drawable material, deep-drawing this to adapt it to the contours of the former (A) and then applying the printed, shaped carrier (B) to (A) as a spherical cap. An independent claim is also included for objects based on a former (A) with a curved surface and provided with a pattern and/or image, in which a deep-drawable-material is used as a digitally-printed, form-fitting carrier which is combined with (A).
