The device has a spray nozzle (1) with a unit for producing a heterogeneous atomized spray including liquid drops with variable sizes. A limiting unit is integrated in the device for limiting the flow rate of the liquid drops through the nozzle. The nozzle has a nozzle disk (6) arranged at a front side of a hollow cylindrical housing, and between a clamping screw (8) and a nozzle cone, where the screw presses the cone against the disk.
