The device has length- and diameter-conditioned replaceable weights (3) arranged along the grip portion (2) or pipe portion (1) of a walking stick or ski stick. The weights can be removed and replaced without having to use a special tool. Compression springs (6) are used for absorbing forces of dynamic movements of the weights on the pipe portion of the walking stick or ski stick.
