A fuel pellet (1) or briquette contains: (A) an agricultural waste material; (B) a first additive to increase thermal yield; and (C) a second additive to reduce cinder production. An independent claim is included for the production of the pellets or briquettes comprising mixing the three components, compressing them to form a bar and breaking up the bar.
