The aligning table has a telescopic arm (40) with a free end (46) which is retractable while swiveling out. An aligning support plate (12) is provided with a transverse conveyor (30) which enables the lateral supply of wood. The tiltable aligning arm (18,40) is arranged on the supply side of the support plate seizes the wood (14a) and aligns it in the longitudinal direction of the cross conveyor.
