The device has bending pattern formed of number of adjustable segments (6) for producing a customizable bending contour, in which an article is inserted. The segments include molded parts (15) for supporting the article. The segments are adjustable in relation to reference bending line of the article and are aligned to the cross-sectional form of the article at the supporting position of the articles at the molded parts. An independent claim is also included for an article manufactured by a device for bending an article.
