New protein or peptide involved in biosynthesis of lysolipins, useful for preparing lysolipin antibiotics in transformed cells

Isolated protein or peptide (I) comprising an amino acid sequence selected from (SEQ ID No.:1)-(SEQ ID No.:1 46), as given in the specification, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) isolated nucleic acid (II) encoding (I), preferably comprising sequences (SEQ ID No.: 47)-(SEQ ID No.: 93); (2) isolated transformation vehicle (V), especially a plasmid or cosmid, that contains (II); (3) cell that contains (I) and/or (II) as foreign matter; (4) preparing the cell of (3) by transforming a host cell with (V); and (5) lysolipin derivatives (III), especially antibiotics, produced by culturing cells of (3) then isolation from the cells and/or culture supernatant.
