The device has a temperature sensor (12a) placed in a cooking product, and an evaluating unit for measuring the inner temperature of the product. The temperature sensor consists of a mechanical actuated swinging system with a temperature dependent natural frequency, where the bias voltage of the system is temperature dependent. A protective cover is provided for mechanical shielding of the system. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a cooking device with a temperature sensor device (B) a method for determining inner temperature of cooking products.
