Preparing an essentially open-pored, enzymatically resorbable substrate (S) for culture of tissue, specifically skin cells, is new. Preparing an essentially open-pored, enzymatically resorbable substrate (S) for culture of tissue, specifically skin cells comprises: (a) preparation of a molding mixture from a polypeptide (and/or its derived components) (I); crosslinking agent (II); surfactant; dispersed gas-forming component, and optionally structure-stabilizing additives; (b) shaping the mass; and (c) crosslinking (I) and optionally the additives. Independent claims are also included for: (1) (S) prepared by the new method; (2) products that include (S); and (3) organ-typical hybrid structures comprising (S) and cultured tissue cells.
