The chain has multiple chain links (22) attached to bullet holders (27) and arranged on a rear side of the chain using corresponding joints, where the chain is guided on sliding units. A sliding surface is provided at rear side of the chain. The bullet holders and the chain links are made by waste-wax casting and are designed as a single piece, where the holders have an adaptor-type structure.
