The method involves communicating device addresses to a central control device by an acquisition device, if an input device is brought from an open condition to a closing condition or from the closing condition to open condition. The input device is assigned based on the communicated device address and the measuring signals of the input sensors. The device address is produced, if a given device address is stored in acquisition device. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle access system.
