The CT equipment has a transducer laid out for contactless electrical power transmission and contactless data communication between a stationary section and a rotary section. Contactless inductive data communication takes place using a combination of inductors (L1,L2) and coupling capacitors (CK) in a data communication circuit. The rotary section of the CT equipment includes an X-ray tube for irradiating X-rays towards an object, and a detector for sensing the irradiated X-rays. The stationary section includes a data processor for evaluating the detected X-rays. The transducer supplies voltage to the X-ray tube and detector through contactless electrical power transmission between the stationary and rotary sections.
