Femur component for a total hip endoprosthesis in which the axes of shaft part and the joint-attachment part intersect at specific angles in two planes at 90 degrees to each other
Femur component (1) for a total hip endoprosthesis. Femur component (1) for a total hip endoprosthesis has a shaft (2) that tapers continuously in the longitudinal direction to its distal end and, in its proximal region (7), has an essentially elliptical cross-scetion, converting to a circular cross-section in distal region (8). The proximal end forms a shoulder (5) in a joint-connection region (3) that includes a connection cone (4) for attachment to a joint head. The central axes (Ms; Mk) of (2) and (4), intersect, in a first plane, at an angle (alpha ), between the longitudinal directions of the thigh bone and joint head, of 129-135[deg]. The new feature is that Ms and Mk intersect, in a second plane rotated 90[deg] around Ms, at an 'antecurvation' angle (beta ) of 3-7[deg], while the apex (S) of beta is present about 3/5 of the length (L1) of (2), measured from the distal end to a turn-round point (6) of the shoulder, opposite cone (4).
