The angle measuring system has dividing plate, scanning unit, sensor element and mounting flange. The mounting flange (5) has a continuous recess (55) in axial direction. First front side of the recess turn towards electrically conducted disc (3) and second front side is turned away from electrically conducted disc. The sensor element (4) can be inserted in the disc from the second front side. An independent claim is also included for the procedure for mounting of a angle measuring system.
