The system has a color box (5) with a color supply hoses (2, 11), and a diluent box (10) with peristaltic pumps at each of the hoses. The pumps are synchronously operated, so that color drops arise at output of the hose (11) by interrupts. The length of the color drops is measured by a light barrier (14). A valve (7) operates a controller (19) in such a manner that the color consistency remains constant in the hose (2).
