The fitting has a module (2) e.g. cabinet centered in a transverse direction of a vehicle. The module is separable from a base of a driving cab and is movable and lockable into different position on guide ways (5). The guide way is arranged in such a way that the module is movable in a longitudinal direction from a position within a furnishing up to a dashboard. The guide ways are designed as rails that are embedded on the base.
