Data on the operating status of a technical device (TD) (1) like a motor vehicle/car is read out from the TD with an arithmetic unit (9) and transmitted to a central data-processing device (11,13). A validating report (15) is made available by evaluating the data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) A system for making a validating report available for a technical device with a non-volatile memory device, an arithmetic unit and a central data-processing device; (B) and for a computer program with program code devices for carrying out all steps in the method of the present invention; (C) and for a computer program product with program code devices stored on a computer-readable data carrier.
