Fuel cell, especially a carbonate melt fuel cell, with a tube-shaped active component of internal diameter less tha 10 mm. Independent claims are included for:a membrane electrode unit comprising a thin, internal porous Ni anode and an outer thick highly porous Ni cathode; a cathode as described above functioning as cathode streaming line for metallizing a ceramic end plate.
