The drilling equipment has an asymmetric housing (1) connected to the boring tool (3) or drill head (4) by a freewheel (5). The drill head is connected by drill tools to the drive device arranged outside the drilling equipment. A guide element (2) is provided at the exterior surface of the housing for leading the drilling equipment within the bore in longitudinal direction. An independent claim is also included for the method for positioning the ground boring.
