Temperature control (sic) of wet chemical baths in dipping bath equipment and horizontal throughput units with horizontal or vertical positioning of the material to be coated in a working holder. The electrolyte temperature is controlled with the aid of a conductive liquid in an external holder, which has a higher temperature than the working temperature on heating the electrolyte and a lower temperature than the working temperature on cooling it, without bath rolling so that hardly any temperature difference in the working holder is observed. An independent claim is included for a device for wet chemical dipping baths as described above containing an electrical voltage source adjustable to 0,2-2 volts.
