The device has a base made up of an electrically non-conductive material, and contact units with elastic and contact sections (22, 20). Each section (22) has a bend and extends forwardly at a side of the bend to the section (20) and pass over rearwardly at another side of the bend to a rearside section for attachment at or relative to the base. A counter unit enables a limited movement of the sections (20) in a contacting direction. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a SIM (subscriber identification module)-card-holding device.
