The test sheet selection device has a guidance element (5), a lower stop (1) and a front stop for the selected sheet (P). A clamping element (7) is fixed along the non-printing area (X) whereby the sample sheet is kept on the bearing surface of the lower stop. The clamping takes place after the front edge of sample sheet passes the guidance element. The front edge of the sample sheet rests against the contact surface (4) of the front stop.
