The device has a stop unit (10) which engages at a neutral region in a recess (6) of a switching bar (1), where the unit is supported perpendicular to upper surface of the bar. The recess is designed in an oblong shape in the moving direction of the switching bar such that the length of the recess is larger than the geometrical expansion of the effective area of the stop unit engaging in the recess.
