The displacement pump has a rotor (6) and in the region of the end of the pressure-side supply opening (16) flowing out into the circumferential direction of the rotor the work chamber which travels over this region is connected to the pressure chamber (20) through at least one pressure release opening. The pressure release opening can be a throttle opening. The pressure release opening can extend adjoining the contact bearing plane between the curved ring (7) surrounding the rotor and a side wall (8,9) covering the rotor and curved ring.
