The device is designed as a shaft (1) holding a ring (2) with a cutting edge (3) for the creation of a hole in the upper layer of a sandwich sheet with a soft inner layer. A centering tip (4) facilitates a precise operation. Two curved blades (5) are swivel mounted to the lower end of the shaft (1) of the tool and positioned close to the ring (2) while the bore is created. When the tool is rotated anti-clockwise the blades (5) unfold and cut a space into the inner layer.
