The device has conductors, which are secured by fuse units. A flat conductor section (6) is provided with conductor paths. Cross section of the conductor paths is reduced for designing the fuse units at a fuse region. The fuse region and the conductor section are formed as a single piece. The conductor section is formed from an extruding flat conductor and the fuse units lie in respective chambers in a casing (4). An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a safety device for an electrical main.
